This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to all our websites and platforms unless a specific site or service displays a separate policy. This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices and your rights regarding personal information collected through the Services.

Our Services are intended for business professionals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Much of the information we collect relates to individuals acting in a professional or business capacity. Our services are hosted in the United States and are intended solely for a United States audience. Personal information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. This Policy does not apply to information collected from job applicants, employees, contractors, or other personnel in their capacity as workforce members, except where required by applicable law.

A. Information You Provide

  • Contact and account information — name, job title, organization, business address, phone number, email address, and login credentials when you register for an account or product.
  • Payment information — credit card or other payment details when you make a purchase. Payment transactions are processed by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Event registration details — dietary requirements, accommodation requests, and accessibility needs when you register for a conference, expo, or webinar.
  • Survey and feedback responses — opinions and answers you submit through surveys, questionnaires, or feedback forms.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email, phone, or web form.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Log and device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, date/time of access, and referring URLs.
  • Cookie and tracking data — information collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies. See Section 5 (Cookies) for details.
  • Usage data — how you navigate and interact with our Services, including clickstreams, session duration, and content viewed.

C. Information From Third Parties

  • Business contact information sourced from public sources, business directories, conference attendee lists, professional networking platforms, licensing partners, resellers, sponsors, exhibitors, referral sources, and commercially available business information providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our products, publications, platforms, events, and other Services.
  • Process orders, subscriptions, and payments.
  • Create and maintain your account and manage your access to licensed content.
  • Send service-related communications — confirmations, receipts, updates, and support responses.
  • Send marketing communications about LRP products and events that may interest you (you may opt out at any time — see Section 7).
  • Personalize your experience and tailor recommendations.
  • Conduct research, analytics, and reporting using aggregated or anonymized data.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, monitor networks and detect and investigate incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
  • Facilitate corporate transactions such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Create deidentified, aggregated, or statistical information and use it for any lawful business purpose.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

  • LRP Affiliates
We may share information among LRP Publications, Inc. and affiliated LRP companies for the purposes described in this Policy.
  • Service Providers
We share information with vendors and contractors who perform services on our behalf — such as hosting providers, payment processors, customer relationship management platforms, conference hotels, marketing automation providers, analytics providers, event management providers, webinar platforms, customer support providers, fulfillment providers, and professional advisors. These parties may only use your information to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect it.
  • Conferences and Events
Conferences, webinars, and training programs may involve attendee networking features, exhibitor interactions, speaker participation, mobile applications, and event technology platforms. Information shared through those features may be visible to other participants or event sponsors as described at the time of collection.
  • Business Transfers
If LRP is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice if your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
  • Legal Compliance and Safety
We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LRP, our users, or others.
  • Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may share aggregate or anonymized information — which does not identify any individual — with sponsors, advertisers, media, and business partners for research, reporting, and benchmarking purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain our business relationship with you, to comply with legal obligations (including applicable tax and recordkeeping requirements), and to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information, contractual requirements, legal obligations, and business needs. Subscription, transaction, and event participation records may be retained for longer periods as required for accounting, audit, regulatory, historical, or contractual purposes. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on legal, operational, and contractual requirements.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies on our websites. These technologies help us operate the site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and deliver relevant advertising.

  • Functionality cookies — remember your preferences such as language or display settings.
  • Targeting/advertising cookies — used to deliver relevant ads and limit ad repetition, in partnership with third-party ad networks.

These providers may change over time.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards — including firewalls, encryption of sensitive payment data in transit, and access controls — to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Only employees, contractors, and agents with a legitimate business need may access personal information.

No security measure is perfect. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and should log out after each session, especially on shared devices.

Verification and Authorized Agents
To protect your privacy and security, we must verify your identity before processing your request. If we decline to take action on your privacy request, we will notify you of our reasons. Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to appeal our decision. Instructions on how to submit an appeal will be provided in our response to your initial request.

9. Sensitive Personal Information

In limited circumstances, such as conference registration or accessibility requests, we may collect information that could be considered sensitive personal information. We use such information only to provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, ensure accessibility, or maintain security. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals.

Personal information used in these processes remains subject to this Privacy Policy. We do not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Our websites may contain links to third-party websites, including event sponsors, and advertisers. This Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit. LRP is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
